This is the biggest week yet for pro-Democracy action!

While we don’t want to get stuck in the past, according to Liz Cheney, the danger of losing our right to vote continues. The June 6th Commission hearings look into how to safeguard our future, by investigating potential criminality by the perpetrators of the attempted overthrow of the election.

Anheuser-Busch donates to politicians who ignored the will of the people.

One of the largest beer-producing corporations in the country supports members of Congress who tried to undermine democracy by preventing the newly elected president from taking office.

Who are these politicians?

On January 6th, 2021, the American people’s votes for the next president of the United States were threatened by an insurrectionist mob. Instead of defending democracy, 147 members of Congress, dubbed the Sedition Caucus, chose to vote against certifying the election.

While many companies vowed not to make corporate donations to these anti-democratic politicians, some didn’t. Others have continued or resumed donating to these people and organizations like the National Republican Senatorial Committee and National Republican Congressional committee, who support these anti-democratic actions.

Why have we focused on Anheuser-Busch?

We have chosen Anheuser-Busch because it is one of the largest beer producers in the country, and their flagship brand, Budweiser, is an American institution. People from all backgrounds can enjoy beer together, no matter their political affiliation. It shouldn’t have anything to do with overthrowing the government, yet Anheuser-Busch is one of the biggest donors to politicians who acted to overturn the 2020 election.

Take One Simple Action to Protect Democracy

Tell Anheuser-Busch to stop working against the interests of democracy and the American people. In the meantime, drink responsibly—don’t drink Budweiser!
